The last monthly modellers’ gathering on Saturday 29th July 2023 went very well. Lee Stringer bought his studio scale sci-fi models from Space 1999, Star Wars Y-Wing and Alien AVF. And Paul Gallagher brought his WWII Japanese diorama box.

This month is our exciting yearly mini-Airfix AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicles) diorama competition on Saturday 12th August 2023. The rules are builtAirfix AFV model kits in a diorama. Just bring the diorama models to Hobby Bounties between 2 – 5pm for judging.

Airfix made a surprise announcement of a 1:48 Westland Sea King HAS.1/HAS.5/HU.5 which consists of 348 parts and in 4 schemes. We will be bringing this in when Airfix receives its stock.

Hornby trains have made leaps and bounds with their digital trains. The HM7000 controller is an App through your mobile phone and operates by bluetooth connection to your 21 pin chips in your train.

Next month is the Singapore Formula 1 race, time to play with your Scalextric slot cars and sets. We also stock the new Scalextric C1432M 1980s Grand Prix race sets
