August was another busy month with many major events:
- Mini - Airfix AFV diorama competition
- Airfix 48 hours group build competition
- Launch of Wargames Atlantic table top games
- Plus our monthly gathering
The monthly gathering on Saturday 29th August 2026 continues to grow. The front and inside of our shop was full!
Mini-Airfix AFV diorama competition - there were 4 entries from Paul Doyle, Paul Gallagher, Lester Poh and Mick Stephen. See photos. Lester Poh won on this closely contest with Mick Stephen.
Airfix 48 hours group build competition - Henry Low is doing Sterling work to encourage to build and complete models over a weekend. This time there were 6 contestants. Four finished who are Terence Teo with his Airfix 1:72 F6F Hellcat, Paul Gallagher with his Airfix 1:144 BAC Trident, Alex Rigg with this Airfix 1:48 Spitfire, and Tuck Leh with his Accurate Miniatures 1:48 IL2. Congratulations!
Adam Pratt came to demonstrated Wargames Atlantic Baron’s War table top games with the launch of this new (to Hobby Bounties) product range. We seem to have generated a lot of interests. These are nice models too! And lots of sci-fi subjects!
Our monthly gathering had a great crowd with Lee Stringer bring his stunning 1:50 scatchbuilt Space Shuttle, and Lester Poh with the Wargames Atlantic Richard Sharp figured from Sharp’s Rifles (the TV series).
We are expecting another ship from Hornby Hobbies this September 2026 Airfix, Corgi diecasts, Hornby trains, and Scalextric. And will bring more Wargames Atlantic products.
