Hornby R3300 Sir Winston Churchill's Funeral Model Railway Accessories
On the 30th January 1965, the train carrying the body of the late Sir Winston Churchill, KG, OM, CH, TD, DL, FRS, RA slowly pulled out of Waterloo Station, London at 1.28pm on its stately journey to Handborough, Oxfordshire where it arrived at 3.23pm. The Battle of Britain Class, ‘Winston Churchill’ had been specially prepared for this most solemn of occasions, as was the BR Gangwayed Bogie Luggage Van which had been repainted to match the Pullman Cars that made up the remainder of the train.
This limited edition train pack contains not only the Battle of Britain ‘Winston Churchill ’ locomotive but also a representation of two of the Pullman Cars plus the matching BR Gangwayed Bogie Luggage Van.
