This year’s National Airfix Aeronautical Model Engineering Competition 2025 was held at the Singapore Discovery Centre (part of Defence 60 SG60 Celebration) from 20–23 November 2025 (Thursday to Sunday). This year’s theme was 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II: Man and Machine. The change in venue was due to renovation works at the Air Force Museum.
After setting up on Thursday morning at 10am with the assistance of our volunteers such as Ng Keng Leong who transported everything to Singapore Discovery Centre, and the likes of Lee Stringer, Leslie Choy, Steven Fun and Lester Poh, we were ready for our Make & Take Session: Began at 2:00 PM with 10 enthusiastic students over two days, led by Henry Low, Kevin Khoo, Lester Poh, and Jake Moon. The outstanding Student: Jonathan Chua (12) impressed judges by blending his own paint and cutting flaps on his first Spitfire model, and Punggol Secondary School Team: Three talented girls built an Operation Overlord diorama in one day, guided by Mr. Foo.
Judging was done in the evening of Friday 21st November 2025
