Today is the 80th anniversary of D-Day!

We had a lot of activities in the month of May and early June 2024.

We had our Airfix Sail Ship Competition on Saturday 25th May 2024. While many bought and tried to build the sails ships, only three were completed. These are the Airfix 1:72 Gold Hind (by Razali Ahmad), 1:144 Wasa (by Clive Chan), and the 1:180 HMS Victory. Clive Chan did packed his built Wasa in a dog basket and his daughter carried it from Ipoh, Malaysia. As these models were built to masterclass standards, I had no choice but to award both Razali and Clive first prizes.

We also had a gathering on Monday 3rd June 2024 for Mick Stephen’s visit from Indonesia.

On the modelling front, Airfix released their new tooled 1:48 Bristol Bulldog MkII, on the Quickbuild front, they released their new tooled 1:35 Sherman Firefly and Tiger I, besides the London Bus released earlier. We also brought in the new tooled Meng Dune 1:72 Atreides Ornithopter and 1:12 Paul Astreides models.
