Happy New Year! Soon Chinese New Year (CNY) will be upon us, and it becomes the year of the (wooden) snake.

The last month of 2024, December, was a month of partying. We had our annual Boxing Day party on 26th December 2024, hosted by my parents, Henry Low, Mick Stephen and Julian Dewan. It was a great party with lots of food, drink and cheers.

We have expanded our Corgi range with the introduction of the ‘World of Tanks’ die-cast, more OO gauge or 1:76 vehicles for both collectors, military and train dioramas. We also brought in Corgi die-cast aircraft and the QEII aircraft carrier.

On the Airfix front, we wait eagerly for the Airfix 1:48 Westland Lysander to be released. In the meantime, we are planning a CNY Skype group build on 80th anniversary of the end of WWII. We are looking at dog fight group build? Say from 27th - 2nd February 2025 via Skype. Lots of subjects, Spitfire vs FW190, Me 262 with P-51, etc. Free and easy.

And don’t forget our annual National Airfix Aeronautical Model Engineering Competition 2025 from 4th - 6th December 2025.

On the Hornby trains front, we continue to bring in more buildings and accessories for both your train layout and model dioramas.
