The month of May 2024 saw Airfix launch the new tooled Airfix 1:72 Consolidated B24H Liberator, the Airfix 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf109 E-4, and the Airfix Quickbuild Transport For London New Routemaster. We are also expecting the new Hornby 100 years of Flying Scotsman train sets to arrive.
We had our April visitor, John Bartram, from Sydney. He spent a couple of days at Hobby Bounties and mixed fellow modellers. As John is an Airfix collector and builder, we are pleased that he managed to meet Peter Lim.
Mick Stephen and wife, Poppy, visited us from 2nd – 5th May 2024, and we had a gathering on Saturday in his honour. Of course, it was rowdy & merry gathering with about 20 people.
We have our Airfix Sail Ships Competition this month on Saturday 25th May 2024 from 2 – 5pm. It should be a beautiful sight of sailing ships.
